FOR FILMMAKERS & CREATORS

You shoot the story.
I help you finish it.

Wedding films, corporate events and documentary-style projects edited in DaVinci Resolve with an organized workflow built around story, clean audio and intentional music.

NOT ANONYMOUS OUTSOURCING

I want to learn the way you tell stories.

I’m not interested in becoming another anonymous editor in your inbox. I want to understand how you shoot, what you notice, how you pace a film and what you want your work to feel like. The goal is to become an extension of your workflow — not replace your style with mine.

SELECTED EDIT

Hailey + Caleb

WEDDING FILM Minnesota, USA FILMED & EDITED BY FANUEL RODAS

One complete example is more useful than a wall of clips. This film shows how I approach pacing, dialogue, music, reactions and the emotional arc of a wedding highlight.

THE WORKFLOW

Structure first. Then story.

A good edit starts long before the highlight timeline.

01
PROXIES & HANDOFF

You keep the originals. I work efficiently.

You generate proxies from your original media and send them with the project information, audio files, music references and notes. Whether the project was filmed with one camera or four, I first understand exactly what was delivered before the creative edit begins.

02
ORGANIZE EVERYTHING

Before I edit the film, I build the project.

Every camera, audio source and clip is imported into DaVinci Resolve and organized into clearly labeled bins: venue, details, bride, groom, family, interactions, first looks, ceremony, speeches, reception and whatever else is specific to the event. This is what lets me find the right reaction or detail quickly and edit with intention.

03
MASTER SYNC

One synchronized source of truth.

All camera angles and every available audio source are placed into one synchronized Master Sync timeline — camera audio, lavaliers, boom microphones, field recorders, DJ boards or console feeds. From there I can move through the event knowing what every camera and microphone captured at that exact moment.

04
BUILD THE MOMENTS

The important moments get their own timelines.

Before jumping into the highlight, I isolate key moments from the Master Sync — first looks, ceremony, speeches, special dances and other meaningful scenes. Each section can be refined on its own: multicam choices, pacing, music when appropriate and audio correction. The highlight is then built from moments I already understand.

05
AUDIO FIRST

Audio is part of the story, not an afterthought.

Dialogue is cleaned, balanced and enhanced using the strongest source available — lavalier, boom, recorder or console feed. I take voices seriously because a beautiful image cannot rescue a moment you can’t understand.

MUSIC + SOUND DESIGN

Music isn’t just chosen. It’s connected.

Your main song becomes a tonal reference. I identify its musical key and look for additional tracks that are compatible with it and with the energy of the scene. I use the same thinking for tonal sound design, preferring textures and effects that belong to the musical environment instead of covering every transition with generic whooshes.

You shouldn’t notice the edit. You should feel it.

06
BUILD THE HIGHLIGHT

Now the story already has a foundation.

Once the important moments are organized, synchronized and refined, I build the highlight around the structure and energy of the selected music. Instead of placing random beautiful footage over a song, I pull intentionally from the scenes we already built so the result feels like one film.

REVIEW TOGETHER

The more we work together, the less you should have to explain.

We can meet by video call, talk through your references and expectations, and review the edit together when needed. You can request changes. Over time I learn what you like, what you avoid and how you structure your films. That ongoing relationship is the point.

COLOR GRADING

Your look stays yours.

By default, I focus on the edit and leave the final color grade in your hands. Your color is part of your visual signature, and I don’t want to replace it with mine. If you would rather hand off the full post-production process, color grading can be added to your quote as an additional service.

OPTIONAL ADD-ON
WHY WORK WITH ME

A post-production partner, not just a pair of hands.

01

Personal relationship

You work directly with the person editing your films. We can actually talk.

02

Structure before creativity

Your footage is organized, synchronized and understood before the highlight begins.

03

Audio + music matter

Dialogue cleanup, multiple sources, musical coherence and intentional sound design are part of the edit.

04

I learn your style

The goal is not to make every film look like mine. It is to understand what makes yours recognizable.

WHAT I EDIT

More than weddings.
